Hanging from a pull-up bar or building something from the ground up — I’m at home doing both. I’m Charles Nelson, father of two awesome adults, entrepreneur, and owner of Basin CrossFit. I believe fitness should do more than change your body — it should strengthen your mindset, your habits, and your life.

When I took over this gym, I wasn’t just looking to run classes. I wanted to create a culture rooted in community — where people feel supported, challenged, and part of something bigger. CrossFit has taught me that while intensity drives results, it’s consistency and connection that create lasting transformation. That’s the foundation we’ve built here: a space where anyone, at any level, can grow and thrive.

Outside the gym, I own and operate several family-oriented companies that value people first — including Ryan Roofing, VeriRoof LLC, and Code X Forge LLC, an artificial intelligence firm innovating quality assurance in construction. In every venture, my goal is the same: to lead with integrity, invest in people, and build environments where teams feel like family.
